production, third week
At the third week of our production we added the meshes and animation of the character, the black-out event, more stable playability, and a lot more.
A thing we struggled with was spawning the walls without them overlapping with other players or other game objects. we gave the players, the pick-ups, and the walls a child, which is a sphere, made it invisible and used its collision for checking purposes. It's not yet fully done and we hope it'll get fixed by next upload.
For the third week of production we continued implimenting visuals as well as finally getting characters and their animations in there.
We implimented an event to make things more interesting making it difficult for players to see where their going and where other players are going as well.
We removed the static obstacles and added random obstacle spawning to keep things more fresh and the arena more open. The Pursuing balls also got their own model now with scary teeth .
Implemented player feedback particles when you get hit and when the balls bounce off walls.
The black-out event is meant to make it a little harder on the players, they can't see much, but the balls give light, so they have to stand close to them to actually get to see.
This is how our game looks like now.
