First week of prototyping

So we started with finding out which one was better to develop our game with; Unreal or Unity.

Using Unreal, one of our developers spend about 8h trying to make a ball follow the player, which he couldn't even manage to finish.  He went to Unity and in less than an hour he managed to have the ball follow the player. So for us it's better to go with Unity since the programmers are more acquainted with it.

After we got the player movement and the ball that follows the player, we made the map. The map is a script that makes the grid itself and puts the obstacles / pick-ups on a random place. By touching an obstacle the player dies and starts over, for now.

Our prototype is basically a game where you have to keep on moving to not get hit by the ball, but also watch out to not get hit by an obstacle either, otherwise you die.

The gameplay doesn't represent our game yet, we're still prototyping and it's being shaped as we go along! The next coming week we plan on upgrading the gameplay, making the ball follow the character in a better way, adding more fun gameplay to it. Overall, we plan on polishing and adding new fun mechanics to it.
